The life of a special needs parent can be overwhelming and exhausting — every day is a new challenge, and many parents feel inadequate to the challenge of raising such a unique and beautiful child. While you face unique challenges every day, you don’t have to face them alone.

I’m here to walk with you on this journey, providing the support and strategies to help you advocate for your child and build a nurturing, inclusive environment where both you and your child can thrive.

Through mentorship with me, you can find ways to become more than a caregiver and develop life giving practices to thrive on this journey. With my guidance, you’ll find the support and tools needed to advocate effectively, fostering an environment where both you and your child can truly thrive.

Feel heard, encouraged and take heart…

Parents of children with disabilities and special needs experience fear, guilt, grief, despair, and many more emotions that can leave them feeling isolated and alone. These feelings are what helped to inspire my latest book, “The Other Side of Special”, authored by Sara Clime, Carrie Holt, and myself.

Dig into the life, tears, joys, struggles, and triumphs, of being a special needs parent.

Amy is such a blessing to me as a mentor. Her encouragement is practical, realistic and helpful on a heart level. So many things she said to me during our regular meetings have become truths I regularly quote to myself and to others! My life as a special needs mom had led me to feel dry and weary and the Lord used Amy to help hydrate my soul again. I’m so grateful for her mentoring and guidance and for the way she has prayed for me!

Amy J Brown has been a source of comfort and wisdom. It is a gift to have another mom who understands the highs and the lows of this adoption journey. As a seasoned adoptive mom, many times I am the one supporting younger moms, it has been a blessing to have Amy in my corner. She instinctively understands the complex dynamics that are part of the life of an adoptive mom, whether that mom is new to the adoption adventure or decades into it. She has been there to provide support and encouragement when it’s needed most. I am grateful to have Amy as a mentor.

Working with Amy has been the breath of fresh air my soul needed! She listens, understands, and offers practical solutions with a wonderful balance of hope, grace and care. So thankful I found her!
