Mentoring
REMEMBER
You are not alone
The life of a special needs parent can be overwhelming and exhausting. Every day is a new challenge, and many special needs moms feel inadequate to the challenge of raising such a unique and beautiful child.
My mentoring provides a respite, a safe place to ask the hard questions with someone who has been there.

A little about my background
My children range in age from 31-18. I have children with RAD, FASD, mental health issues and physical disabilities. When I was learning about my children’s needs and trying to figure out how to help them, I had no one to talk to. I often felt judged, isolated, frustrated, and overwhelmed. I did not know how to juggle all the needs in our family.
Mentoring is important to me. I do not want anyone to feel as lost as I did. My goal for you is to be well-resourced as you walk this journey.
- A safe, confidential place to tell your story with no judgment.
- A quiet place for your soul to breathe.
- Encouragement and mentoring for the unique needs in your home.
- Practices to help you breathe and find space for yourself.
- Prayer and spiritual support
- Over 30 years of parenting experience for our conversation.
Life as a special needs parent is a hard journey, but no one has to do it alone.
My mentoring process can help special needs parents find peace in the chaos of this life. Sharing our stories makes us feel seen and less alone, giving us the courage to keep going. I would love to hear your story. If you want to schedule a time to ask more questions, you can schedule a 30-minute chat with me through my Calendly.
HOW IT WORKS
The Mentoring Process
When I started the journey of being a special needs parent, I didn’t know what to do or how to navigate it. The demands of children with challenging behaviors seem to require super-human amounts of patience, strength and organization. Parenting a special needs child will bring you face to face with unique obstacles and uncertainties, and having access to mentorship can make all the difference.
Since the parents of special needs children face uniquely complex decisions and unfamiliar situations, it is important to have someone in your corner to help you untangle and make sense of the process. I have been there before, and I understand the overwhelm.
My mentoring process provides you with invaluable support, guidance, and empathy from someone who has walked a similar path. It presents you with the opportunity to ask questions and learn from my personal experiences such as navigating the healthcare system, advocating for your child’s specific educational needs, and providing practical advice to help you to feel more confident and empowered in your day-to-day decision-making processes.
By listening to your struggles I can share with you my lessons learned and help you anticipate obstacles, explore options, and make informed choices that are in the best interest of your child.
I am here to tell you that, while it is not an easy path, life as a special needs parent can be a truly fulfilling journey. And I am here to provide you a lifeline of understanding and encouragement on your journey. I hope I can help you find peace where you are, when you are.
